600 delegates and special guests were invited to the historic Zappeion building for an evening of music and spectacular entertainment. This finale brought to a close the three day InterContinental Hotel’s ‘Shaping Our Future’ Conference.
This spectacular building was opened in 1888 and first used for the revival of the summer Olympics in 1896 for the fencing competition and athletes accommodation
As the guests arrived at the venue the red carpet and drummers led them to the steps where priestesses with flaming torches guided them in.
The highest quality Greek cuisine and wines were served, giving the guests time to network in an informal setting and relax.
Guests were given the choice of exploring ‘The Islands’ or ‘Old Athens’.
Each set of rooms had been transformed with spectacular 3m high photo montages showing authentic street scenes from the areas.
The local environments were enhanced with lighting, sound effects and performance artists
The finale of the show took place in the circular Peristilion area.
Ellipsis wrote the narrative, designed and produced a bespoke, projection mapping animation which told the myth of Odysseus and the sirens.
The show was projected in 360 degrees onto the building with live drummers and an opera singer creating a spine tingling show.
“The show was amazing, I’ve never seen a Greek mythological story told in such an innovative way. The operatic singing was mesmerising.”
At the end of this performance guests were able to let their hair down and enjoy dancing to the energetic party band - MadHen.
